Set up Aegis

Four steps. About five minutes.

1

Subscribe

Create your account and start your subscription on the pricing page. The same email and password will sign you into the app.

2

Download and install

Download Aegis for Windows and run the installer. Windows may show a blue screen that says it protected your PC. That appears because Aegis is a new app from an independent developer. Click More info, then Run anyway. The install itself does not need administrator rights.

3

Sign in and turn on protection

Open Aegis and sign in with the account from step 1. The app checks your subscription and unlocks. On the dashboard, click Enable system-wide blocking and choose Yes on the Windows prompt. You only do this once: it lets Aegis block sites across your whole PC, even when the app is closed. Browser filtering works without it.

4

Add the browser extension

The extension hides AI labelled content inside Chrome or Edge. Until the store listing is live: open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and choose the resources\extension folder inside the place you installed Aegis. By default that is C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Programs\Aegis\resources\extension. It unlocks by itself once the app confirms your subscription.
