Aegis is built and maintained by one person: a high school student who wanted a calmer internet and could not find a tool that did this, so he built it.

There is no company behind this project. Subscriptions cover the basics, and donations go further: the code signing certificate that keeps Windows from warning you at install, the Chrome Web Store listing, and time spent on new filters and a Mac version.
